I’m a Brighton based bi-babe who believes that marriage equality and inclusive weddings are a fundamental right.

My clients choose me for my candid style, colour and FUN! I like to document and strive to find the moments that no-one else sees. I pride myself on listening to you, so I really do mean it when I say I am not here to pose you. Instead, we will chat, play, laugh - you won’t even notice how much you’re being papped.

If the idea of being asked to ‘whisper something sexy into their ear’ makes you want to vom, then we’re gonna get along. I’m a seeker of light, a lover of the quiet moments that you might otherwise miss and your number one hype-woman.

Having spent my life London-based, the pandemic hit me in all of the ways, causing my fur babies and I to relocate to the sea in Dec 2020. It’s been proper magic down here in Brighton. I fell in love, moved in with my gorgeous partner (who I then convinced to become the other half of my business) and life feels so wonderful after many years of struggle. In fact, I really can’t imagine ever going back.

Meet Tristan, My Life & Biz Partner, Oh, and your videographer too!

After a couple years of floating the idea that Tristan *could* *if he wanted to* leave his job as Head of History at a school in Brighton and join my biz full time…SUCCESS!

He trained up in video (frustratingly quickly) and learnt the ropes of running the business so that in Aug 2023 he left his school and Kim Williams Weddings got a full time playmate. Tristan is also the one in charge of the boring important things like our website, accounts and emails, but most of all makes sure I am hydrated, rested and well fed (he’s a ridiculously good cook) so that I can bring the energy to your wonderful weddings!

Tristan is a proud intersectional feminist and does more work unpacking and challenging the patriarchy and toxic masculinity than any cis-man I know. He’s an ally every day and I am so proud of the dialogue and learning he continues to do.

I LOVE working with him and our couples always comment on how much they love working with us a pair. Our shared love of music, great beer and being in nature now gets to stretch to traveling the world in our work. It’s a dream life and we are so grateful for it.

My Values
As a photographer who is passionate about the wedding industry, my values are super important to me. They keep me rooted in purpose, and allow me to share what I believe in to make a positive impact through my work.

Empowerment

Advocating for a better environment runs through me as a person and through all my work. Being an intersectional feminist and advocating for more LGBTQ+ and diversity representation in the wedding industry (which is still engulfed in patriarchy and white supremacy), is really important to me. Please know that with me you safe to be wholly yourself.
Question Everything

When it comes to planning your wedding day, I encourage my couples to plan the perfect day that matters to them. Don’t want a first dance? Don’t do it! Feeling anxious about giving a speech? Don't do it! This is the time that matters to you and only you. Interrogate your choices and after the confetti has fallen, you’ll be left with a day that is right for you.
Marriage Equality

I recognise that we do not yet marriage equality anywhere in the world. That disabled people risk losing access to income support if they marry a non-disabled person, that same-sex weddings are not yet legal in the Church of England and that non-binary people cannot marry unless they register as either male or female - of which they are neither. I will continue to advocate for all in and out of my work.
Environmental Impact

We strive to be as carbon neutral as we possibly can and work with One Tree Planted to plant ten trees for every booking we take. We love to encourage our couples to use sustainable suppliers, shop pre-loved and be conscious about the decisions they are making and the wider impact they have.
Inclusivity

I love to photograph weddings because I am fascinated by love and people. That’s it. Being able to capture a moment in time that you can keep forever is what’s important to me. And every person, regardless of who they are or who they fall in love with, deserves that.
I am super proud to have fundraised for and donated to dozens of LGBTQIA+ companies and individuals in the last nine years of running my business, and twice a year I hold free shoots for minority communities.
