Alternative Wedding at a Puppet Theatre: it's all about the details

Where do I even begin with the level of detail at this wedding?! Every inch of their personalities was stamped onto their wedding day: Nicholas Cage underwear, film posters, a Pulp Fiction first dance, a Zelda cake, a ‘first game’ and so much more. It was also at a PUPPET THEATRE. As an alternative wedding photographer this was my dream: Loz & Keiran opted for the full day photo & film package

I’ll confess - as an alternative wedding photographer I’m not the world’s biggest fan of details shots. It’s not my forte and I throw my hands up in awe at anyone with flat-lay skills. HOWEVER, when the details are nerdy I will become utterly obsessed with them.

It's all about the details

When Loz & Keiran first enquired with the words: ‘memes and movie themed’ I knew I was in for a treat, and spent a lot of time at this wedding hunting The Puppet Theatre (Ohhhh as a Brighton wedding photographer I WISH I had this closer to home) to capture as many of the little personal touches as I could possibly find:

<3 Nicholas Cage on a garter

<3 Faux flowers inspired by The Silent Princesses from Breath of the Wild

<3 The Master Sword as a cake knife

< Cleo (their cat) embroidered into Loz’s dress and taking a bite out of the cake

<3 Nicholas Cage on a butt

<3 The Royal Crest as a necklace and a detail on the bouquet

<3 A life-scale cut out of Nicholas Cage

<3 The posters of the puppet theatre replaced with favourite movies and memes

<3 Teeny little Frodo & Sams protecting the card box

<3 The Goddess Statue looking after the Sake tasting table & guest book

<3 A dinosaur watching the speeches

<3 Howls Moving Castle earrings

<3 Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow centrepieces

<3 Shot glasses with Nicholas Cage on them...

My Ethos

Part of my ethos is that I believe that everyone should get married the way they want, and Loz & Keiran did just that. As an alternative wedding photographer (based in Brighton but travel all over!) I have the pleasure of capturing the quirky and non-traditional, and this epitomises that perfectly. Loz & Keiran interrogated every part of the day and made it theirs. There were so so so many nods to their relationship and everything they love.
